Motivation and Needs of Education of Participants in Courses of Further Education of Pedagogical Staff

The diploma thesis deals with the motivation and educational needs of teaching staff, specifically primary school teachers, within the framework of continuing professional education courses. The work also deals with the barriers to further education experienced by these workers. Further education of teaching staff enables teaching staff to deepen or expand their qualifications, which is essential for the further performance of their profession. Factors influencing the motivation for such education can be quite diverse and result from the individual educational needs and attitudes of specific individuals. Analysis and identification of these educational needs is important for planning and subsequent implementation of educational activities. The aim of this thesis was to find out what motivates primary school teachers to further professional education, what educational needs they feel and what barriers they perceive in further professional education. Employee benefits of pedagogical staff of selected schools

The bachelor's thesis focuses on the provision of employee benefits to teaching staff and the use of this area as a human resource management tool for school management. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a empirical part. The theoretical part of the thesis summarizes knowledge about the issue from the professional literature, defines basic terms and serves as a basis for the following practical part. The empirical part describes the method of setting the goals of the thesis, i.e. describing the use of providing benefits as a human resource management tool from the point of view of the management of selected schools, the methodology of the research and presents the results of the research, including their interpretation and discussion. Qualitative research was carried out at three selected secondary schools in Prague, using semi-structured interviews with school principals and a subsequent questionnaire among the pedagogical staff of the given schools. The result of the research is an answer to the research questions, i.e. how the management of selected schools uses employee benefits as a human resources management tool, what benefits are offered to the teachers at selected schools and which benefits are the most popular among teachers at selected schools. The diploma thesis analyzes the current problems associated with further education of pedagogical staff in the capital city of Prague. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts, characterizes the current system of education, new trends in further education of teachers and provides an overview of further education in some EU countries. The practical part evaluates the results of a research survey, which includes the analysis and comparison of data obtained from structured interviews, questionnaires and annual reports of schools. Problems in further education of pedagogical staff, its quality, method of implementation and factors that affect it are, among other things, assessed with regard to the specific needs of teachers for working with pupils with special educational difficulties. Implementation of digital technologies in education

The aim of this thesis is to analyze strategic and other documents and data that are focused on distance learning in primary schools. The aim is also to describe how distance teaching took place in primary schools using digital technologies and to point out its specifics, including positives and negatives. Strategic and other documents are the basis for determining the readiness of teachers and schools for the transition to distance learning. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, schools were closed and it was necessary to move to distance learning, which was online. Schools and educators had to adapt and implement digital technologies in education in a short period of time. The diploma thesis focuses on the implementation of digital technologies in education in distance learning. In the modern world, every person is increasingly dependent on the use of technology which is not the case in education. Teachers are key players in implementing digital technologies in education. Staff recruitment in basic schools established for teaching pupils with special educational needs in the Pilsen Region

The final paper explores how qualified pedagogical employees are in basic schools established for teaching pupils with special educational needs and in ordinary basic schools where there is a special class for such pupils. Conclusion of the paper is based on research conducted in basic schools in the Pilsen Region. Research produced results to support existence of such schools and classes in the Pilsen Region.
